Works with adults and young people
My name is Dr Liam Trevithick and I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist.
I have extensive experience of working with young people and adults across different NHS services. I currently work within an adult community mental health service. I specialise in working with individuals facing a range of common and more severe psychological and emotional problems including depression, anxiety disorders, stress, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and psychosis.
Everyone’s needs, goals and circumstances differ. I am therefore passionate about delivering person-centred care, by creating personally meaningful treatment goals and plans. I work closely and collaboratively with clients to help them achieve their goals and improve their psychological, emotional and all-round wellbeing. My experience and training in clinical psychology means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to help individuals towards their goals, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
